Melinda is a writer and communication strategist originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. When she moved to Canadian Lakes, Michigan in 2020 with her husband, she found herself in awe of the abundant wildlife and spectacular rural Midwestern landscapes.

She began taking photos during the pandemic to cope with feelings of anxiety and isolation. She fell in love with photography and developed a true appreciation for being able to capture a moment in time and share the beauty of this magical part of Michigan. She produces color and black and white prints, as well as notecards under the name of MindyZed Designs.
