Medium: watercolor

I’m Jenn Steffen, a nature-inspired artist and surface pattern designer creating uplifting artwork for home,

gifting, and everyday enjoyment. With degrees in graphic and commercial art and visual design, I spent my

career as a graphic designer and illustrator, blending fine art with thoughtful, intentional design. Along the

way, I also enjoyed teaching Wilton cake decorating, scrapbooking, and painting classes—sharing creativity

with others has always been an important part of my journey.

Now retired, I live and create artwork from my studio in Canadian Lakes, Michigan, a quiet lake and

woodland community where peaceful waters and the wildlife just outside my window inspire my watercolor

birds, acrylic landscapes, and botanical designs. As a dedicated bird watcher, I draw inspiration from

observing birds in their natural habitats. Birds, landscapes, and flora are at the heart of my work, expressed

through soft storytelling, playful detail, and a sense of peaceful joy. As an avid gardener, I bring a personal

love and knowledge of plants to my botanical artwork. I have also created detailed colored pencil portraits

capturing the likeness and spirit of people and pets.

In addition to original artwork, I transform my paintings and illustrations into surface patterns designed for

home décor and a wide variety of products. My work appears on wallpaper, fabric, home textiles, stationery,

tabletop calendars, matted art prints, mini canvas art, and more—each piece thoughtfully created to bring

warmth, beauty, and a sense of nature into the spaces where we live, work, and gather. I also license my

artwork and enjoy collaborating with brands that value art, nature, and meaningful design.

Thank you for visiting my collection at Artworks. I hope something here speaks to your heart—or makes the

perfect gift for someone you love!

Warmly,

Jenn Steffen
