White on White: Finding Magic in the Minimal
White on White: Finding Magic in the Minimal
August 6, 13, 20, & 27 (Thursday)
2-3:30pm
$80
Instructor: Carrie Weis, MFA
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll uncover the surprising depth of white-on-white art, exploring its history, its quiet power, and the artists who turned simplicity into statement. Then, you’ll experiment with texture, pattern, and subtle contrast on small surfaces before scaling up your favorite design into a striking large-format piece.
Your finished artwork won’t just live in the classroom, it will be showcased in the Ferris Art Gallery and featured on stage in the theater production Museum, becoming part of a larger creative experience before returning to you.
Discover how limitation sparks creativity, and how even the simplest palette can make a bold impression.
