Every other Wednesday beginning January 8, 5-8pm

Drop-in: $10 8 Session Punch Card: $60 (additional firing fees apply)

Clay may be purchased in bulk for $20 per 25lbs

Open Studio hours are for ceramic artists looking for a relaxed, positive atmosphere to work independently. Working on the wheel during open studio requires the completion of Beginning Wheel. Hand-building does not require any formal training, but be advised that you will be working independently. We also carry a selection of pre-fired green ware that can be glazed for those with no experience at all. All materials provided.

*Students currently enrolled in a 6-week pottery class may attend open studio for the drop-in or punch-card cost. Firing fees will be waived for current students for any work completed during open studio

For pre-fired green-ware:

Mondays, March 2-May 4 5-6pm NO class march 9 & 30

8 Week Session Member: $40 Non-member: $50 Drop-in: $7

Choreography class will consist of learning a dance and practicing until the students know the dance without the teacher with an opportunity to perform the dance. Once they are able to perform alone, they will be critiqued until the dance looks clean. On technique days, we will work on different dance moves and flexibility and include them into the dance routines. Students will be accepted into this performance class through Monday, January 21

These two baskets are woven over a mold to create a certain shape. Both come with a plastic basket liner. Your choice of colors. Large basket measures 18 inches high by 12 inches wide, and the small basket measures 11 inches high and 10 inches wide.

About this Event

Join Photographer Dave Johnson for this workshop series, covering a variety of intermediate-level topics that will help you take your photography to the next level. During this workshop series you will expand artistic capabilities utilizing multiple subjects with a deeper understanding of shutter speed, aperture, ISO and lighting. We will also cover various compositional rules that will help add interest to your photos.

Participants should be able to use basic settings on their camera, such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. We will dig further into when to use them and what they should be for the image you want to capture.

Have you ever wanted to get your hands muddy and try working on the potter's wheel? In this class, correct technique is emphasized as students are guided step by step through the process of creating pottery on the wheel. Students will successfully complete about five glazed pieces, usually bowls. While this class is designed for beginning students, those with prior wheel experience are encouraged to register.
