Robert Kevin Starr
I have lived most of my life in Michigan. From an early age I had art-related experiences from my mother, who painted very well. She brought me to get lessons from a lifelong successful artist named Leland Beaman. Later I graduated from Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design.
I have always admired and appreciated the natural world. At one point in the 1980’s I came across books written by Carlos Castaneda. From his work I have been made aware of the spirit. So now I can appreciate the workings of the abstract. I can see how at one point it coached me to properly mix the primary colors only to get the desired results. Therefore, I aspire to have my paintings acceptable by the infinite.
